T-Mobile Project Black Set to Hit End of Month? [Project Black Insider Info Suggests New T-Mobile 'Revamp' Ramping Up, Staff in Training Now]

T Mobile Project Black new header

Yesterday we brought you some insider information concerning what T-Mobile’s Project Black actually is – in short, it’s in essence an (arguably long overdue) complete T-Mobile USA revamp (see: T-Mobile Project Dark/Project Black: Insider Details Obtained by TFTS [Project Dark/Project Black is the Term for a 'Company Turnaround' Says Our Source]) – and today, amidst growing speculation that all is set to be revealed soon, we can confirm, via another inside source, that not only are T-Mobile’s staff getting trained up now but that Project Black is set to roll out at the end of the month.

On and above T-Mobile’s Project Black (we now hear it is known as Project Black and not Project Dark) being set to launch by the end of the month we can also confirm that it will include a $50 all-in plan as we initially reported here. There had been some concern that this may not be the case following on from the initial leak we received, as linked in the introductory paragraph, but our information is that, yes, a $50 all-in unlimited text/voice/data plan is indeed on the cards.

Needless to say if you’re ‘in the know’ and want to slip us any other information concerning Project Black (your anonymity is totally assured – I delete the mails once I’ve posted so they cannot be traced or recalled) we’d like to hear from you with as much detail as you can provide us – be that in the form of text or imagery (preferably both). You’ll find our contact form via the header menu or you can drop a comment in here which we’ll hold and delete subsequent to covering.

Talk to us, you know you want to.

[Thanks G.]

UPDATE: We’re getting more juicy info right now and are just trying to substantiate before making a decision to either publish or not. We are being particularly careful here as the info just received is going to please a lot of people (it would be improper to let slip now as we need to be in a position where we are as certain as we can feasibly can be but, if we can corroborate, you’re going to like it ). Hold tight.

Anyone notice Straight Talk from Walmart? $45 unlimited plan, it definitely makes this move by TMobile seem more plausible.

If the rumors are true, I’m moving to T-Mobile when this happens.

I’ve been wanting an Android phone for a while, but have been stuck in an AT&T plan.

By paying $50/month I will be making back the early termination fee in a couple of months.

I was thinking of getting the Samsung Moment on Sprint when it came out, but the $50 all inclusive plan will certainly make me reconsider.

I hope they come up with a nicer Android phone to complement their $50/month plan, something with a faster CPU than the 528Mhz that all their current offerings have (including the Cliq) and a physical keyboard.

Even if I have to settle for a “lesser” Android phone, if the $50 plan is true, T-Mobile just gained a customer.

  • Sprint or T-Mobile? T-Mobile is gaining!

I was on the same boat. My service is about to expire with another provider and was looking to upgrade withought having to pay the expensive plans offered by ATT and Verizon. Sprint was winning me over with the new HTC Hero or Samsung Moment along with their sweet deal of just $69.99. But if T-Mobile can pull this off by the end of the month… I am theirs ha…

I was in my local T-mobile store last weeekend trying to see what I could find out. They have been open now for about two months. They didn’t tell me anything about Black, but they did continue to push and hand out flyers that they were having a grand opening on the 24th with new and exclusive phones, great prices, etc.

@Nobody, I’m totally with you. I had my mind made up that I was going to switch from T-Mo to Sprint when my contract is up next month, but Project Black/Dark has me reconsidering. I am totally ok with going for a ‘lesser’ Android if it will save me a ton!

Lets hope they over-hall all their plans. Nights and weekend at 7p with a 6p buy down would be nice. MyFaves as an add on to individual phones on a family plan would be great. Not everyone needs an everything plan. Recent changes in the prepaid market could indicate a $50 unlimited plan. ATT has added a prepaid plan for $60. Its unlimited talk and text. Page plus has a $39.99 unlimited plan and just added a $29.99 1200 min 1200 text 50mb data plan. Interesting at the timing of these two events.Tmobile needs to be the network with the most choices.

It’s true. It will be rolling out soon, $50 a month plan with everything and no contract. Some markets are calling it the Cricket Killer.

Apparently they will be offering financing upto 20 months on handsets. From what we hear, you will pay the retail price of the phone and have an opportunity to finance at 0% interest. There will be 2 plans so were estimating for basic phones $50, text, talk and web.

We hear the other plan maybe around $80ish with blackberry and or android phones. Not confirmed as of yet on the 2nd plan.

I like t-mobile cell phone I had sickkick 2008 and G1 . Very nice phone. But if there service not good as other cell phone companys why bother . That why I had to switch to sprint god I get some much more cell phone service . When I had t-mobile had to go outside make a phone call . Now I have sprint I don’t I can make a call anywhere in my house . Service is so much better then t-mobile hands down. If t-mobile don’t inprove soon . There going lose costomers.
