Memorex Introduces MyVideo VGA & 720p-capable MyVideo HD Pocket Camcorders

If you’re amongst those who’d ditch the standard camcorder in favor to those flip cameras that fit into your pocket, Memorex would like a word with you. Although specialized in storage solutions anddisk recordable media, the folks from Memorex have just positioned themselves into the market with the basic definition MyVideo VGA and the 720p-capable MyVideo HD pocketable video cameras.
The new Memorex MyVideo VGA camcorder offers a 2x digital zoom, a long lasting battery that keeps the show running for up to five hours and 2GB of storage space. On the other hand, the Memorex MyVideo HD pocketable camera only records for up to 2.5 hours, comes with a full-size HDMI output, the same 2x digital zoom and 4GB of built-in memory. On top of that the HD version is capable of taking still VGA 5 megapixels pictures.
Available starting today from OfficeMax and Toys R Us, the MyVideo HD will cost $130 while the MyVideo VGA will go for a cheaper $100. Doesn’t sound like much, but we’ll have to see the video quality before we can say for sure!
