HTC Snap and HTC Touch Pro2 With Windows Mobile 6.5

With the new Windows Mobile 6.5 officially introduced in the last few weeks, it was only a matter of time until mobile phones running on the new OS were announced. One of the mobile manufacturers to go with the change, HTC has announced an official ROM upgrade for the Snap and the new Touch Pro2 which are going to be graced with WinMo 6.5.
Although available starting today, the biggest drawback is that only the European version of the Snap and the Touch Pro 2 are eligible for the download. As for those users across the big lake, they should wait until their wireless carriers roll out the Windows Mobile 6.5 upgrade — which we hope it’s going to be soon.
For the uninitiated, the HTC Snap is a quad-band GSM smartphone with HSDPA support and a 528 MHz processor under the hood. It also comes with a QVGA screen, a 2 megapixel camera, built-in GPS, Wi-Fi connectivity and a QWERTY keyboard. As for the HTC Touch Pro 2, it features the same 528 MHz CPU, WiFi, GPS and a WVGA display.
