New Flash Survivor 'The Most Rugged High-capacity Flash Drive on the Market', Apparently

Corsair have announced the immediate release of their new, 64GB Flash Survivor USB Flash Drive which, according to Corsair, is the ‘the most rugged high-capacity flash drive on the market’ thanks to its CNC-milled, aircraft-grade aluminum casing which makes it ‘practically indestructible’ (safe to say that Corsair have obviously never met my wife who, trust me, can destroy just about anything with ‘one of those looks’).

Coming with additional molded, shock-dampening collar and EPDM seal the new 64GB Corsair Flash Survivor USB flash drive certainty seems to be one tough cookie as Corsair have acted to back up their ‘most rugged’ claims by submitting the drive to independent tests that saw the new Flash Survivor dropped, baked, boiled, encased in ice, zapped in a microwave and even run over by an SUV without submission which means that you can be pretty certain that it’ll put up with most of what you can throw at it during day to day usage (including being dunked into water to depths of up to 200 meters).

“The new 64GB Flash Survivor takes the industry’s most popular rugged USB drive and takes it to the next level, with a huge amount of storage space, plus best-in-class performance,” said Jim Carlton, VP of Marketing for Corsair. “The 64GB Survivor is ideal for storing and transporting your music, videos, pictures and other important files, safe in the knowledge that your data will be safeguarded inside the Survivor’s protective shell.”

The tough guy 64GB Corsair Flash Survivor USB flash drive has just been made available and can be obtained directly via Corsair’s web portal.
