Vodafone Sony Ericsson Satio Camera Phone Gains UK Release

Vodafone have now released the Sony Ericsson Satio camera phone, which comes with a 12.1 megapixel camera complete with geo tagging, face and smile detection and integrated image stabilisation, in the UK with the Vodafone Sony Ericsson Satio being up for grabs for free based on a two year contract.
Aside from serving as a more than capable point and shoot camera in its own right, the Sony Ericsson comes with a 16:9 aspect ratio widescreen 3.5” 360 x 640 resolution touchscreen display offering gesture control, pretty extensive PMP capabilities paired with an inbuilt FM radio, stereo Bluetooth (A2DP) as well as WiFi and, of course (being that its capable of geo tagging photos) integrated GPS.

“With Satio you can enjoy any form of entertainment anytime, anywhere. Whether its music or movies you will never be more than a tap away from your favourite tracks or shows,” said Fredrik Mansson, Market Business Manager at Sony Ericsson. “Just tap directly into your favourite videos and music with the unique full touch media menu, standby panels and music player. Snapping perfect pictures also just got so simple thanks to the 12.1 megapixel camera, intuitive touch focus and Xenon flash. Share them with your nearest and dearest via your social networking site, produce huge prints and you can even comment directly on your images.”
The Vodafone Sony Ericsson Satio is available as of now and is offered for ‘free’ if you opt in for a £35 per month contract offering 900 minutes talktime and unlimited texts/web access.

Or it is choosing for some contract or paying 530 euros for the Satio. Which I think is a lot! Still the Satio is a great phone that will hopefully bring SE to a higher level.
