BFG Technologies, who have an enviable reputation for building high performance gaming rigs and home theater systems, have announced their newest high spec gaming notebook in the form of the BFG Deimos X-10 gaming notebook that comes complete with SLI graphics and a choice of Intel CPUs.
The BFG Deimos X-10 gaming notebook, which BFG claim delivers gaming performance comparable to that of SLI configured desktop gaming rigs whilst offering the ease or portability of a notebook, comes with a choice of 2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (P8700), 2.00GHz Intel Core 2 Quad (Q9000) and 2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Extreme (QX9300) processors, between 4GB and 8GB RAM – the Core 2 Extreme touting model packing a total of 8GB PC3 8500 1066GHz DDR3 memory – as well as dual hard disks set up in RAID 0 configuration ranging from dual 320GB HDDs through to dual 500GB HDDs.

In terms of graphics, the Windows 7 based BFG Deimos X-10 gaming notebook offers up dual Nvidia 1GB GeForce GTX 280M cards in SLI configuration powering the Deimos X-10’s 18.4” 16:9 aspect ratio Full HD (1920 x 1080 resolution) display whilst other notable highlights include Super Multi Blu-ray reader, 5 speakers with a built-in sub-woofer supporting Dolby surround sound, 4x USB2.0 ports,  HDMI and DVI output ports, a 7-in-1 card reader and, in terms of connectivity, 10/100/1000 Ethernet LAN, WiFi (802.11 b/g – interestingly, considering the over spec of this machine, no draft-n support) and Bluetooth v2.1+EDR.

“The Deimos X-10 SLI notebook is perfect for gamers and media enthusiasts who demand desktop performance but prefer the portability of a notebook,” said John Malley, senior director of marketing for BFG Technologies. “Deimos X-10 comes fully locked and loaded to deliver the ultimate HD mobile gaming and multimedia experience.”

The BFG Deimos X-10 gaming notebook, which is set to release 30 October, is available for pre-order as of now and will set you back just shy of $1,860.
