Sony VAIO L AIO Touchscreen PC Pre-Orders Accepted

Of late, and what with the release on Windows 7 fast approaching, just about everyone who’s anyone are trying to climb aboard the multitouch bandwagon and, to that end, Sony are no exception thanks to offering their first ever (hard to believe, this is Sony after all, but it’s true) touchscreen PC, the Sony VAIO L, which (and now we get to the crux of the post) has just become available to pre-order.

Offering up a 24” multitouch capable touchscreen LCD display boasting Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, the Sony VAIO L is offered with a range of CPU options topping out with the 2.66GHz Intel Core 2 Quad paired with up to a 1333MHz rated Front Side Bus and 4MB Advanced Smart L2 Cache whilst, in terms of graphics output, the VAIO L falls back on GeForce G210M integrated graphics offering, obviously (in light of the display) Full HD capabilities (as well as taking in 3D graphics). You can also count on up to 6GB of DDR2 SDRAM (the VAIO L can accommodate a total of 12GB, incidentally), as well as an integrated hard drive up to 1TB capacity.
Naturally, the Sony VAIO L offers both WiFi (802.11b/g/n – nice to see N duly represented) as well as Bluetooth (specifically stereo Bluetooth with A2DP) wireless connectivity.

The Sony VAIO L, as mentioned above, is available to pre-order now with pricing ranging from around $1300 to just shy of $2000 dependant on model specifications and options.
