Asus UL30, UL50AG & UL50VG CULV Notebooks Release & Pricing Unveiled [New Asus UnLimited Notebooks Boast 12 Hours Battery Endurance]

Asus has officially detailed its new, stylish UL Series (UL standing for UnLimited) of notebooks – specifically the 13.3” UL30, the 15.6” UL50AG and the 15.6” UL50VG – that boast a number of energy saving features, the embracing of Intel’s CULV CPUs being but one of them, allowing for battery endurance up to a pretty impressive twelve hours.

Coming with brushed aluminium covers, the new Asus UL Series notebooks, aside from offering up Intel’s CULV processors, also manage to curb power consumption thanks to utilising GraphiX Boost technology which, in a nutshell, serves to reduce GPU power requirements should you be using non-graphics intensive applications whilst ramping up the power whenever required – thus acting to dynamically adjust power directly in correlation to required graphics performance.

Acting to further reduce power consumption the new UL Series of notebooks also come with Power4Gear allowing the user to set overall notebook performance according to what’s required courtesy of four pre-configured pre-sets which Asus describe as offering ‘High Performance (for power-intensive sessions such as gaming), Entertainment (for movies or music playback), Quiet Office (for general word-processing and work activities) and Battery Saving (for basic use on the move, such as emails and web browsing)’.

Set to become available in the UK from 22 October, the new Asus15.6” UL50AG and 15.6” UL50VG are set to retail for £699 and £799 respectively whilst the 13.3” UL30 will come in at either £599 or, if you sign-up to a Carphone Warehouse mobile broadband plan, will be offered for ‘free’.
