Gateway have officially unveiled their new One ZX Series of all-in-one PCs, specifically the Gateway One ZX6800 and Gateway One ZX4800 – which serve to pair the multitouch capabilities offered by Microsoft’s new Windows 7 OS with multitouch displays to deliver ‘a superior touch screen experience’.
The new Gateway One ZX Series of all-in-one PCs are details below in terms of specifications, however, by way of a brief low-done, the One ZX6800 and the One ZX4800 come with an Intel Core 2 Quad Core paired with Intel GM45 Express Chipset and Intel Pentium Dual Core paired with Intel GL40 Express Chipset respectively along with either ATI Mobility Radeo HD 4670 or Intel® GMA X4500HD Graphics, between 4GB and 8GB RAM and integrated WiFi connectivity (802.11 b/g and DRAFT-N).
Of course the main draw is undoubtedly their multitouch capable displays, the ZX6800 coming with a 23” 1920×1080 resolution display whilst the somewhat lesser spec’d ZX4800 comes with a smaller 20” multitocuh display offering a max resolution of 1600 x 900.
Interestingly, and whilst we are on the subject of the displays, Gateway, who are keen to exploit the versatility and intuitiveness of multitouch accessibility, are also touting the merits of their new Gateway TouchPortal interface, which is in evidence in both models, which come in the form of TouchMusic, TouchPhoto, TouchMediaShare, TouchFriends and TouchMemo, as detailed below:
- TouchMusic – create and move music, albums and playlists between multiple devices and applications to enjoy music when and where consumers want it.
- TouchPhoto – view, enjoy and share digital photos simply.
- TouchMediaShare – enjoy and share digital media such as video, create slideshows and easily store, share and upload it with a single touch.
- TouchFriends – make social networks easier to access and more intimate with one-touch access to Facebook and Flikr.
- TouchMemo – handy notepad lets customers jot down quick notes for themselves and others and leave on the “desktop” as a reminder.
So, on to those all important specifications which, as you’ll see from their respective listings below, certainly confirm that Gateway’s new One ZX Series of all-in-one PCs are pretty capable devices that certainly serve to push all the right buttons in terms of what one would want from AIOs.
