Lexmark Unveils T656dne Touchscreen Laser Printer

Although many gadgets these days seem to be getting a touchscreen, I’ll have to agree that I never expected a printer to feature a touch sensitive display, and that’s what Lexmark’s new T656dne does. With features borrowed from the award-winning Lexmark T650 series, the new T656dne is not just the world’s first touch screen laser printer (they say) but also a serious performer for those in need for high-volume monochrome printing.
Other than new applications that help you print less and save more, the new Lexus T656dne laser printer features a Lexmark e-Task 7-inch (17.8 cm) color touch screen, customizable with company logos, that controls the show.
It also comes with a built-in 80GB hard drive that can store forms to be reproduced directly from the printer and manages to print up to 55 pages per minute.
On top of these all, Lexus T656dne also appeals to the green minded thanks to its eco-settings that will help save energy and reduce wasted paper and toner.
Lexmark’s T656dne laser printer should already be available in the US, with a price tag shy of $1,999.
