HP Pavilion dv3 Laptop Leaks Out [Expect Touchscreen 13.3-IN Display, HP TouchSmart 3.0 and Windows 7]

HP is ready to offer us a genuine Windows 7 experience and we should expect a lot of HP’s future laptops and desktops. While nothing is official just yet, it looks like someone managed to leak out the HP Winter 2009/2010 consumer catalog. In it lies the Pavilion dv3, an upcoming laptop which seems ready to bring HP’s TouchSmart technology to your lap.

The dv3 laptop will offer a 13.3-inch touchscreen LED BrightView Widescreen display capable of a max 1,366 x 768 resolution, HP TouchSmart 3.0, up to 8GB of RAM, up to 500GB of storage space, a NVIDIA GeForce G105M graphic card, a HP VGA webcam with integrated microphone, HDMI connectivity, 5-in-1 card reader and Microsoft’s latest OS running in the background, Windows 7.

So when will we see the HP Pavilion dv3 in stores? Let’s not forget that Windows 7 is just about to be launched so we can only assume that HP has great plans for the end of the year. The company is about to bring touchscreen displays to its future laptops which is a bold move considering that its main competitors are far behind when it comes to touchscreen PCs.

In case you want a tablet PC with a generous display and a handy keyboard than this dv3 will surely fit the profile. It might be the perfect alternative to Apple’s rumored tablet and Microsoft’s future Courier. And although no prices have been mentioned at this point in time, the dv3 could be the better choice. Moving past the touch friendliness of this laptop we can’t neglect all the other features which suggest that the laptop will act quite nicely whether you’ll want to play games, watch HD movies or simply stay online and finish your work-related projects. There’s only one questions that remains to be answered before declaring this dv3 a hit laptop: will Windows 7 live up to everyone’s expectations? Or will it fail unexpectedly and thus ruin the whole touchscreen laptop experience?
