When we were first introduced to the idea of being able to watch videos and, gasp, movies on our iPods there was much rejoicing. We could finally download and take along with us all of our favorite television shows and movies. What could be better? Well, it didn’t take long for most of us to realize that it simply wasn’t as good as it sounded. Who wants to watch a 22-min sitcom or, dare I say it, a feature-length film on a screen that’s really not that much bigger than a credit card? Talk about an easy route to a migraine. That’s where the folks that make those wearable virtual screen gadgets come in. Companies like MyVu, icuiti and ezGear make high-tech glasses that give your brain the illusion that you’re watching a 50-in widescreen. The problem? There were no adapters for the iPod or iPhone. Ugh.
Well, the wearable theater mavens have slowly but surely been coming up with the Apple certified adapters that enable their products to work with Apple’s products. The latest introduction in this arena has come from ezGear, the makers of the ezVision line of virtual screen headgear. Their new EZ111V iPod/iPhone video adapter has got your back, at least when it comes to using their products.
Now you can enjoy the movies, videos, and television shows that have been trapped on your iPod or iPhone on a set of ezVision glasses. They offer two different models of ezVision, the standard ezVision G1 (50-in virtual screen) and the newer ezVision X4 (64-in virtual screen). Both sport rechargeable Li-ion batteries and integrated earphones. The new EZ111V adapters also let you connected your iPod or iPhone to a television set for large-screen viewing by more than just a party of one. They also feature a USB connection so that you can charge your devices while they’re in use and are compatible with iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPod Touch G1 & G2, iPod Classic and iPod nano G4 and G3.
The ezGear EZ111V Video Cable for iPod and iPhone is available for sale now for $29.99 at www.ezgear.com and a ton of other online retailers.

This is fascinating. I wonder how this technology can and should be adapted to help the visually impaired? I can’t see the screen on an ipod. I’d love to try one of these devices out.
