
Back in June we offered our US based readers a heads up concerning the impending US release of Viliv’s X70EX MID (Mobile Internet Device) and now we can confirm that three versions of the Viliv X70EX have just begun shipping stateside in the form of the Viliv X70EX Express P, Premium P and the Premium 3GP.

For those unacquainted with what the Viliv X70EX MID brings to the table the device, which measures in at 210 x 117 x 22.5mm, comes with either a 1.2 GHz or 1.33GHz Intel Atom Z520 CPU under the hood (Express and Premium variants respectively) paired with 1GB DDR2 RAM and either a 16GB or 32GB SSD (again respectively) whist also boasting a 7” 1024 x 600 (WSVGA) resolution touchscreen display.
All models run with Windows XP OS and, in terms of additional notable features, manage to pack in a 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0 +EDR and WLAN (802.11b/g) wireless connectivity – the Premium 3GP version adding 3G HSPA connectivity into the equation – whilst also touting an integrated SDHC card reader, headphone jack, USB ports (host and link) and multi I/O ports. On and above offering up a 3G mobile broadband module the X70EX Premium 3GP also offers an inbuilt GPS receiver
Billed as offering up to 5.5 hours of battery life if watching videos and up to 150 hours endurance whilst in standby, the Viliv X70EX Express P, X70EX Premium P, and X70EX Premium 3GP are available in the US as of now for around $600, $730 and $880 respectively.
