NVIDIA Ion-based Eee PC Notebook Sees Light

The new ASUS EeePC 1201N is the company’s NVIDIA Ion-based notebook that have been leaked for an October debut. Although not yet confirmed when it comes to an official release date and price, our elves have laid their eyes on the new NVIDIA Ion-based 1201N on Asian retailer PCpop’s webstore and it looks like the stylish laptop runs on the already common 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU.
Other than the non impressive processor, the 12-inch ASUS EeePC 1201N boasts a TFT-LED display with a 1366×768 resolution, features a 250GB SATA 5400RPM hard drive, 2GB of DDR2 RAM and a built-in NVIDIA GeForce 9400M G. Along the same lines it comes with both Wi-Fi (802.11b/g/n) and an Ethernet port, sports an USB 2.0 and a VGA port.
Power comes from a six-cell 5200 mAh battery, while the show is run by Windows 7 Home Premium giving us more hints on a possible release date in October. Just make sure you save for this one as we can see it selling like the cheap models ASUS has gotten us used with.
