Audi have confirmed that they are set to enter the Playstation Home online universe in order to promote their e-Tron concept – which basically takes the form on an electric powered Audi R8 – which will be known as Audi Space and which will feature a multiplayer game known as Vertical Run featuring the aforementioned e-Tron concept car.

The proposed Audi Space, which will serve as a virtual showcase for the e-Tron (see video below), will allow visitors not only to familiarise themselves with Audi’s concept R8 but, thanks to the Vertical Run mini game, will allow visitors to play against other users whilst driving the e-Tron – the goal being to gain the fastest course completion time collecting ‘packets’ of electricity for enhanced speed (and loosing said energy, resulting in lower speeds, in the event of crashes).

As at the time of writing we can only track down (a wholly tenuous racing game pun there for you) one screen shot of Vertical Run as featured above but we’re on the lookout for more screenies and some greater detail concerning what exactly the Audi Space will offer.

We can, however, advise that the Audi Space is purportedly set to hit Playstation Home sometime in December and, yes, it’ll be free.
