Asus G60 Republic of Gamers Notebook

Asus have just unveiled two new, high-end portable gaming rigs in its award winning G-Series in the form of the Asus G60 and G71GX Republic of Gamers Notebooks which, according to Asus’s press release, offer ‘futuristic yet practical construction aimed at allowing gamers to play harder, longer and faster’.

The G60, which Asus are touting as the world’s first 16” display notebook to come with NVIDIA GeForce GTX graphics under the hood as well as Creative EAX Advanced HD 4.0 audio paired with Altec Lansing speakers, and the 17” G71GX, which is billed as the first notebook to come with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260M graphics, PhysX and Cuda support combined with a high definition 1920 x 1200 resolution 17” screen, are, as their Republic of Gamers tag suggests, aimed at gamers looking for prime performance portable gaming machines and if you’re not already impressed these model specific run-downs of their key features should just about seal it.

We should stress that if Asus are looking to throw out a few review units, they really should get in touch (hell, it’s worth a try – wouldn’t you?).
