
Mostly known for PC imaging, audio, wireless technology products and video games controllers, Hercules would like a piece of the pie in the netbook sector – which seems to be booming lately, and today, they took the wraps off of a pretty powerful new Hercules eCafe EC-1000W netbook.
Coming as an outsider, the new Hercules eCafe EC-1000W netbook runs on 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, sports a 10.1-inch LCD that does 1024 x 600 resolutions and manages to pack a 250GB hard drive and 1GB of RAM under the stylish casing. With 801.
The new eCafe EC-1000W also features integrated Wireless (802.11n) connectivity, adds 50GB of free online storage and a 6-cell 4400 mAh battery pack that should keep the show running for some 6 hours. There’s also VGA out, three USB ports, Ethernet, a headphone jack, mic, and a 4-in-1 card reader to play with.
Bundled with Hercules applications like eCafe Connect (a connection manager for connecting to Wi-Fi) or Email Center (to control all your email accounts from one app), the new Hercules eCafe EC-1000W netbook will run Windows 7 Starter Edition and should cost $399 when released in the first week of November.
