msi u210 netbookMSI Computer has just announced the launch of its new MSI Wind U210 netbook computer and they couldn’t be more excited about it. MSI’s latest ultra-portable computer isn’t all that much different from its competitive counterparts. It is lightweight, though. Weighing in at just 3.2-lbs, it won’t be too much of a challenge to lug around an airport. The Wind U210 is also MSI’s first notebook to feature the AMD Athlon Neo MV-40 1.6 GHz processor.

While it might not be that terribly thrilling, the MSI U210 is a fairly capable netbook and a relatively competitive price point. For the visually interested, it sports a 12.1-in HD LCD widescreen with 1366×768 resolution and ATI Radeon X1250 graphics processor. As for storage space and system memory, it has a 250 GB hard drive and 2GB of DDR2 memory. Like I said, it’s fairly capable. The power supply for the cute little guy is a 6-cell Li-ion battery pack that is spec’d to provide 4 hours of battery life.

The Wind U210 also uses MSI’s EDS (Ergonomic De-stress) keyboard. What is an EDS keyboard you ask? Well, an EDS keyboard is one that has keys that are 51% larger than those of a standard laptop keyboard which, according to MSI, is supposed to “…greatly improve finger contact range, which reduces stress on fingers and wrists to provide a more comfortable typing experience.” Well, isn’t that nice. Just to make matters a bit more palatable, MSI has added a 1.3MP webcam, HDMI port, 3 USB 2.0 ports, VGA port, and a 4-in-1 card reader.

The new MSI Wind U210 is available now at www.Amazon.com and www.Newegg.com for $429.99.
