Fandi Meng’s Volution Bluetooth Headset [Designer Bluetooth Headset Concept]

Whilst Bluetooth headsets have come a long way in terms of design and aesthetics they manage, still, in the main, to reside just out of the cool envelope so this designer concept Bluetooth headset, known as the Volution, conceived of by Chinese designer Fandi Meng certainly caught our eye in seemingly fusing the functionality of wireless connectivity with designer jewellery.

Hardly breaking with established tradition, details concerning the Volution Bluetooth headset concept are on the particularly sparse side of almost non-existent but, as can be seen from the mini gallery of imagery below, the Volution appears to consist of a central illuminating button (known as the ‘pearl’) that glows on receipt of an incoming call – not that the end-user will actually be able to see it glowing – which is simply duly depressed to start/stop said call.

There’s no word as to whether Fandi Meng’s Volution Bluetooth Headset concept will ever actually see the light of day as a commercial product – indeed it would appear that a working prototype is not even in evidence – but there’s no doubt that the design offers a tantalising glimpse into the (possible) future of Bluetooth headsets and there (once again, potential) fusion with jewellery design.
