
Samsung have announced that they are set to add to their LCD 650 Series of TVs with the LN65B650 HDTV which apart from boasting a 65″ CCFL-backlit LCD capable of Full HD (1080p) sports Samsung’s Touch of Color (ToC) aesthetics and Samsung’s Medi@ 2.0 multimedia suite taking in Internet TV offering access to the likes of YouTube, Flickr, et al.
Apart from being billed as ‘ready for both wired and wireless connectivity’ the newly unveiled, and decidedly well connected 65″ Samsung LN65B650 HDTV also comes complete with two built-in USB 2.0 connectivity making viewing content directly from USB flash drives a breeze as well as allowing for hassle free hook ups of digital cameras, DAPs and PMPs whilst, in terms of other capabilities it offers a 100,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, a 120Hz refresh rate powered by Auto Motion Plus technology and a mere 4ms response time which, for an LCD of this size, is not unimpressive. You can also factor in onboard stereo speakers with 15 watts output apiece with SRS TruSurround HD audio processing.
The Samsung LN65B650 1080p HDTV, which comes with no less than 4 HDMI v1.3 ports as well as 2x Composite, 2x Component, 1x Ethernet, 1x optical audio out, RS232C and, yes, should you wish to hook up to your PC that’s covered too, is set to commence shipping any time now and will set you back just shy of $6,000.
