It’s a fact that after Blu-ray, 3D imagery may be the next big thing to come in the multimedia entertainment industry. These being said, today at the CEDIA 2009 event, JVC have announced their new 46-inch GD-463D10 3D LCD HDTV comes to the US and has a pretty hefty price tag attached.

Usually, 3D TVs work using LCD shutter glasses which open and close the visibility on each eye separately, so that each eye gets a different image. But the new JVC GD-463D10 panel is actually a really big screen that generates stereoscopic images using a circular polarizing filter — making the complicated, powered LCD shutter glasses, really, un-necessary.

The 46-inch GD-463D10 comes with a 1080p FullHD display that sports a 2000:1 contrast ratio and doesn’t suffer from the strobing effect. It features 3 HDMI sockets, 178-degree viewing angles and two sets of those dorky (to be read geeky) 3D polarizing glasses.

Highly appealing, the most interesting thing about the new JVC 46-inch GD-463D10 3D LCD HDTV is that it reaches the US shore and should sell for nothing less than $9153.
