NEC haves announced the addition of two new projectors — the NP110 and the NP215 — to its NP Value series, and as that name clearly says, the word here is budget pricing. It’s about home theater capability, multimedia functions and an affordable price tag.
NEC NP110 and NP215 offer brightness up to 2500 lumens, built-in 7 Watts speaker, closed captioning and ECO mode. The ECO mode offers lower power consumption to 0.49 Watts in standby mode and can increase lamp life up to 5000 hours. Both projectors offer a contrast ratio of 2000:1, and can receive input from a number of devices like computers, composite video, S-video and component video. The Brilliant Color Technology increases system brightness to better handle color saturation and color gain, while the built-in wall correction presets adapt the projectors to display clearly on non-white surfaces.

But as you may wonder, the difference between the NP110 and the NP215 is the display resolution. The NP110 has an 800×600 SVGA resolution, while the NP215 comes with a 1024×768 XGA resolution. The latter also includes an RJ45 port.
Both projectors will be available in October and will sell at $459 for the NP110, and $599 for NP215.
