Samsung YP-M1 AMOLED Touchscreen DMB PMP Released

Samsung have confirmed that their newest PMP, the AMOLED touting Samsung YP-M1, which comes complete with DMB TV tuner, has just been made available in Korea though, at this juncture, it’s unknown when further international roll-outs will occur.
Coming with a 3.3″ AMOLED WQVGA resolution captive touchscreen display, the Samsung YP-M1, which weighs in at a mere 91g, as well as offering TV on the go takes in MP3, WMA, OGG, ASF, AAC, M4A and FLAC audio and WMV, ASF, H.264, MPEG4, DivX, XviD and SWF video file formats and, unsurprisingly (or is that all too inevitably) is readily being billed as an iPod Touch killer by various sites – not that we don’t hear that about pretty much every PMP sporting a touchscreen these days. Still, there’s no doubt that, certainly with reference to its broad file format support and the integration of DMB TV tuner the Samsung YP-M1 is a particularly alluring device and once you also factor in Flash support, Bluetooth connectivity, an inbuilt FM radio tuner, integrated microphone allowing for voice memos and an onboard dictionary (a seemingly obligatory requirement in terms of the Japanese/Korean market) there’s little doubt that the YP-M1 is a particularly capable device to boot (see video below).
The Samsung YP-M1, which has apparently just hit the Korean market, comes in 8GB, 16GB and 32GB variants with a microSD card slot allowing for additional bolt-on capacity, though at this juncture we can neither advise you concerning pricing or when we may see the YP-M1 PMP gain a wider release.
