Manomio Commodore 64 iPhone Emulator App Approved [iPhone C64 Emulator Gets Apple Approval]

Back in July we brought you the news that the hugely anticipated C64 emulator app for the iPhone from Manomio had been rejected by Apple due to SDK violations but now we’re overjoyed to confirm that Manomio’s Commodore 64 iPhone Emulator App (which also plays ball with the iPod Touch) has at long last gotten the official nod from Apple and is now available via the App Store.
For those who are not versed with Manomio’s Commodore 64 iPhone Emulator App, and who thus are probably wondering what all the fuss is about, the application promises an authentic C64 experience in truly paying glorious homage to a computer that first saw the light of day in 1982 and which, it has to be said, pretty much nailed Apple’s competing device – not that Apple have been known to hold any grudges.

Supplied with five of the C64′s most memorable gaming titles bundled in with the app, taking in Dragons Den, Le Mans, Jupiter Lander, Artic Shipwreck and the mighty Jet Attack, the Manomio Commodore 64 iPhone Emulator naturally offers the Real McCoy in terms of authentic C64 sounds as well as portrait, landscape full screen retro gaming action with Manomio confirming additional C64 gaming titles are set for future release.
Quite possibly, indeed undoubtedly, one of the few iPhone/iPod Touch apps that no true retro gamer can possibly be without, Manomio’s Commodore 64 iPhone Emulator App can be had now and, certainly from our perspective, we’re beside ourselves (and would also like to extend our warm appreciation to Manomio who have not only shown a great deal of patience during some particularly taxing times but who have come up with an absolute gem that positively oozes class – and wholly reflects the devotion and love they put into coding it and then getting it to eventually see the light of day).
A must have purchase, period (along with HP’s HP12C & HP15C Calculator App).
