The all-in-one PC market has grown a lot — owing to the performance and low power requirements offered by the Intel Atom series of processors — with many products being launched on this platform. Another such product has been unveiled by Shuttle. It is the new Shuttle X500V with a slim design and running on the latest version of the openSUSE Linux operating system.
With a 3.6cm thick body, it basically consists of a 15.6” 1366×768 touchscreen display, with a 1.3 megapixel webcam, and stereo speakers and microphone on it. Under the wraps there’s a dual core Atom 330 processor running at 3.6GHz, 1 GB of DDR3 RAM and a hard drive with 160 GB of memory. The device has a Gigabit Ethernet port for networking as well 802.11n WiFi, five USB ports and a VGA output port.

Available in black or white, the Shuttle X500V All-In-One Touchscreen PC is on sale now in the UK and is priced at 511 Euros (some $752 at today’s rate). It is still unknown as to when it will be available in the US.
