So you’re looking for a webcam that’s both small and high-definition? Aren’t we all. Besides, you would think that we’ve come far enough with technology that we don’t have to settle for webcams that produce grainy video that looks like it came straight out of a 7-11 security camera, right? Hercules, makers of gadgets like multimedia speaker sets, webcams, DJing solutions (wickie, wickie, wack) and consumer-friendly wi-fi products, has just announced their latest webcam designed for notebooks, the Hercules Dualpix HD720p. It’s small and high-definition. What more could you ask for?
The Hercules Dualpix HD720p seems to be the complete package. It has the capability of rotating on two axes, a wide-angle auto focus lens, and a built-in microphone. And if all that weren’t great enough, it also comes with a pretty cool auto-adjust feature. At the start of each chat session the Dualpix HD720p automatically rotates the picture angle and detects your position to make sure all of your parts are in the frame. If you need to tweak more, you can use the included software.

Specifically designed for laptop PC’s, the Dualpix HD720p features a new, highly secure attachment system that will make sure your webcam stays attached to your PC no matter how rough things get. It also features the Hercules Xtra Controller Pro software suite that enables users to share photos, videos and live music tracks during the conversation. Starting in early September 2009 the Hercules Dualpix HD720p webcam will list for $59.99 at Buy.com, NewEgg.com, Dell.com, Amazon.com and Walmart.com. Head over to www.hercules.com for more info.
