Takes on Porsche Panamera S and the older BMW M5

After a rational round of analysis Swiss engineers over at Sportec have come up with an amazing engine upgrade for the Audi TT RS (as if it would be needed) that will help the car to match the power of the likes of Porsche Panamera S or the previous generation BMW M5.

After effectively remapping the ECU, both the power and the torque were increased to achieve better numbers. Consequently, the power increased to 405 horses at 5,800 rpm and the peak torque was 544Nm at 2,650rpm. Where the standard Audi TT RS takes 4.6 seconds to clock 100km/h with its 340 hp engine, the Sportec upgraded version does the job in 4.2 seconds.

Word is that Sportec is also working on further performance and styling upgrades which will definitely leave us drooling when compiled. Meanwhile, the Stage One kit is available in the UK and should cost 1,200 GBP which is some $1,960.

The only problem we can find is actually owning the Audi TT RS to apply the upgrade on …
