The folks over at Olympus have tried hard to keep their new E-600 lower-end DSLR (which is a scaled down version of the E-620) under wraps, but things have a way of getting out in the open. Apparently a member of the DPReview forum has snatched a bunch of photos after spotting the Olympus E-600 on display in a dealer’s shop.
Although it does seem to have a number of features and functions similar to its predecessor, the E520 (which by the way, may probably, the new E-600 comes with a swivel LCD, has Art Filters and sports in-body image stabilization technology for your shaky hands.
Although it looks much like the higher-end Olympus E-620 (which is intriguing) and although there aren’t any labels or signs, the goodies that will make these two different are surely clear. And we can probably start with the price as the new E-600 DSLR is not going to break the bank for you. As for some specs, we still wonder if it’s going to pack 7AF or still 3AF point, TruPic III+ or TruPic V!
Just a piece of advice for Olympus. Make it below $200 and you got us sold in here. How about you guys?
