The whole concept of a laptop was that we all expected it to be thin, portable and convenient, but in time all these things altered and we demanded high performance and big screens, too — hence why there’s a big selection of notebooks to choose from, and why netbooks made way in the market. Well, here’s where Dell is trying to change things with their latest Dell Inspiron 11z — a laptop that allows you to experience true mobility for an affordable price.

Replacing the Mini 12, the 2-pound Dell Inspiron 11z ultraportable joins the Intel CULV brigade and makes the brand proud. It comes with a 11.6-inch display (1,366 x 768 resolution), runs on an Intel Celeron 723 1.2GHz processor, features an integrated Intel GS45 graphics card, 2GB of RAM and a 250GB hard-drive with Vista Home Premium (including the Windows 7 upgrade). There are also signs of Wi-Fi connectivity, a 1.3-megapixel webcam, HDMI port, three USB 2.0 ports and a memory card slot.
