If Amazon’s Kindle let you down because of its display issues, then how about turning your eyes to Matsunichi’ss stylish ER600 ebook reader. With a brushed metal exterior and a tactile leather grip section at the bottom just below the 5- or 6-inch E-Ink EPD screen, the new ER600 doesn’t stand out, except for the fact that it looks damn handsome.

Specs wise, the new Matsunichi ER600 supports TXT, PDF, HTML, FB2, ePUB, PRC, MOBI, JPG, GIF and BMP file formats and adds an RSS feed reader. It comes with an optional touchscreen display, runs on a 400MHz or 532MHz processor, has an onboard MP3 player, 128 MB of built in memory and a microSD card slot for expansion. Speaking of optional stuff the ER600 comes with 3G/3.5G WWAN, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity but only if you order it as add-on to the base model.

No news regarding a release date or a price, but word is that it should be available in Europe sometime soon.
