AMD have just added some “multi-core value” to their Phenom II processors lineup with the new jaw-dropping AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition CPU. Codenamed Dragon, the new processor has stepped into into heady thermal territory. It runs at a rather high-strung clock rate of 3.4GHz (highest AMD has shipped until now), has a TDP rating of 140W, 8GB of cache, plenty of headroom, and supports high-speed DDR3 memories.

To make it a little more appealing against Intel’s Core 2 Quad processors, the new AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition offers better performances thanks to the company’s OverDrive 3.0 technology.
