Sprint is tackling the green minded with the new Samsung Reclaim, which is not only the company’s cheapest slide-out full-QWERTY mobile phone they sell, but also an eco-friendly model that is 80-percent recyclable and is crafted from corn-based bio-plastic. The new Samsung Reclaim is free of toxic chemicals like BFR or PVC and instead of a paper user manual, gives you a web version to read in case you need instructions to use it.
Specs wise, Samsung Reclaim features a 2-megapixel camera with video recording, Bluetooth with support for the A2DP stereo profile and Sprint Navigation, a microSDHC card to store up to 32GB of data, and EVDO-based 3G to speed access on Facebook, MySpace, Twitter or YouTube.
Sprint said that the new Samsung Reclaim will be available for $49.99 on a two-year contract, starting from August 16th at. It should come in either “earth green” or “ocean blue” depending on your preferences.
