Sony CyberShot TX1 and WX1 Compact Cameras

Sony have just introduced two new 10.2 megapixel digital cameras to add to their point-and-shoot lineup. Dubbed Sony CyberShot TX1 and CyberShot WX1, both cameras have been upgraded from using CCD sensors to the new “Exmor R” back illuminated CMOS sensor that improves low light photography, sports better image clarity and reduces picture noise.

First one, the new Sony CyberShot DSC-WX1 comes with Sony G lens, boasts a 2.7-inch LCD screen, 5x optical zoom with f/2.5 max aperture and 720p HD movie recording in MPEG4 format and can take panoramic images of up to 185-degrees by using the with the include Sweep Panorama mode. Other than these, the WX1 also comes with face detection, smile shutter, image stabilizer and pet mode in case you’d like to get your little guy on film.

On the other hand, the new Sony CyberShot DSC-TX1 upgrades the display with a 3.0-inch LCD, has wide-angle Carl-Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens that take panoramic shots at 256-degrees and sport 4x telescopic zoom.

The TX1 Cyber-shot will be available starting from September for $380, while the WX1 will arrive in October for $350.
