Nikon Coolpix S1000pj Projector-camera

Nikon is definitely onto something if the new Nikon Coolpix S1000pj projector camera turns out to be real deal. Actually a small digital camera with an LED pico-projector attached, the new Nikon Coolpix S1000pj is the production version of the VP650 prototype.
It is capable of projecting an image up to up to 40 inches in size, allowing you to show your whole vacation by pushing a couple of buttons instead of the classic way of downloading files from your camera to your computer and then to a portable projector.
On top of these all, the new Nikon Coolpix S1000pj comes with a 12.1 megapixels sensor, a 5x Zoom-Nikkor lens with 28mm wide-angle coverage, a remote control and a projector stand as part of the standard package.

With pricing at $699 AUD (some $590 at today’s rate) and a release date rumored for sometime in September, the new Nikon Coolpix S1000pj projector-camera does look like a solid new addition to a market saturated with megapixels and optic zoom.
