When it comes to electronics the smaller the better and what corporate road warrior hasn’t felt the pain of having to lug around an unwieldy projector to a business meeting. What if you could have a tiny pocket-sized projector that gave you portability and performance? The folks at AAXA Technologies think they have just the thing for you in their new P2 Pico Projector.

The new AAXA P2 Pico Projector is being touted as the brightest pico projector on the market and it has been designed with the professional user in mind. The AAXA P2 micro projector employs an ultra-efficient optical engine design, new LCoS chip, and high-power LED to achieve a super-bright 33-lumen output at 800×600 resolution. This is a definite improvement over the 10-20 lumen models that peak out at 640×480. According the to AAXA, when the P2 is used in darker environments the it can produce spectacular images up to 80-in. This might not cut it for large auditorium scenarios but should suffice for most office applications.

Some of the other noteworthy features of the AAXA P2 include a direct VGA connector supporting up to 1280×720 resolution for laptop connection, an infrared remote control, dual 0.5 watt stereo speakers, and on-board gamma correction. Additional features include AAXA’s popular MP4 player capable of decoding of video, audio, and images (MP4, MP3, WMA, AVI, WMV, JPG, GIF, TXT), 1GB onboard memory, and a microSD slot capable of reading up to 4GB cards.

The P2 measures a pint-sized 4.3 x 2.3 x 1-in and weighs in at only 260 grams. The P2 projector easily drops into any pocket or brief case and is fully portable and battery powered for true business flexibility. Additional accessories allow the P2 to connect to Apple iPhone/iPod, Microsoft Zune, Sony Playstation Portable (PSP), and a wide range of cellphones from Nokia, LG, Samsung, and HTC.
