Those who enjoy a portable gaming rig should be happy that MAINGEAR have just taken the wraps off of the “world’s most powerful gaming notebook”. The new MAINGEAR eX-L 18 is a powerful machine that features dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280M GPUs with NVIDIA SLI technology, a 2.53Ghz Intel Core 2 Extreme X9300 quad processor with an Intel MCP79 chipset, 8GB of DDR3 RAM, and 3x 2.5-inch SATA or SSD drives with a RAID configuration.

Of course that’s the top configuration that also tosses in an 18.4-inch LCD display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution, a 3 megapixel webcam, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, 3x USB 2.0 ports, 7-in-1 media card reader, a DVD or a Blu-ray player. Other than these the new MAINGEAR eX-L 18 gaming laptop includes a keyboard with programmable gaming buttons, features NVIDIA PhysX support for even more realistic gaming and allows for a customized exterior by using the company’s laser etching technology for a nicer logo.

The only two drawbacks to such a monster are the $2,999 price and the fact that the eX-L 18 weighs about 9.5lbs — other than that we’re completely sold!
