Kensington have unveiled what has to be one of the smallest iPhone/iPod Touch docks out there in the form of the Kensington Nightstand Charging Dock which connects to your iPhone/iPod touch and allows the device to be sit in both portrait and landscape orientations thanks to, in essence, acting as a (somewhat dull looking) stand.

Designed to work in unison with the company’s Rise & Shine application, that turns your iPhone/iPod Touch into an alarm clock with weather and date displays, the Kensington Nightstand Charging Dock, whilst being billed as specifically designed for use with the iPhone and iPod Touch will also play ball with other iPods such as the iPod Nano (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th Gen), iPod Classic, iPod Mini and iPod (1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th Gen) – though, obviously, the aforementioned app will only work with the iPhone and Touch.

The Kensington Nightstand Charging Dock, which is undoubtedly especially ideal for those that make their living on the road, though we are, it has to be said, less than enamoured with its dull aesthetics, is set retail at just shy of $40 and, whilst a specific date of release has not been offered, those wishing to place an advanced order can do so via Amazon as of now.
