Gateway LT2000 10.1-in Netbook Computer

It seems like we are seeing a lot of the new pint-sized netbooks hitting the market lately. These little guys are targeting the ultra-mobile users that require little devices and high-connectivity. They aren’t typically high on the processing power and are basically meant for tackling things like online shopping, email, and social networking. The latest entrant into this arena (and better late than never, we always say) is the 10.1-in LT2000 from Gateway.

Gateway Inc. today introduced the Gateway LT2000, a new compact netbook with a 10.1-inch TFT LED-backlit display that will let mobile customers maximize their time on the go to stay connected and productive. The Gateway LT2000 netbook line is powered by Intel Atom processors and sports connectivity via integrated 802.11b/g wireless.

The new Gateway LT2000 netbook line measures only about 1- inch thin and weighs only 2.62-lbs. Boasting the same design as the Gateway LT3100 netbooks launched last month, the new Gateway LT2000 netbooks come in NightSky Black and Cherry Red with an engraved Gateway logo and silver trim accents. The LT2000 has a 10.1-inch TFT LED-backlit LCD that should provide plenty of space to view web pages, documents, email, digital media and more. It has three USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet and VGA as well as a digital card reader.

The new Gateway LT2000 is available in several configurations at a starting manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $299.99. An example configuration follows:
