Olympus Mju Tough-6010 Rugged Digital Camera Announced

Just like we love rugged mobile phones or laptop, Olympus would like us to consider ruggedized digital cameras, too, hence why the company’s have just announced their latest Mju Tough-6010 camera. Capable of withstanding drops from 1.5 m, waterproof to 3 meters and freeze proof to -10 C degrees, Olympus Tough-6010 packs a 12-megapixel sensor (pretty impressive), 3.6x optical zoom (28-102mm lens – equivalent to a 35mm camera) and dual image stabilization that promises razor-sharp images no matter if you’re snorkeling and have to fight a shark or if your fingers have frozen in Siberia.
Along the same lines, the new Olympus Mju Tough-6010 also impresses with a 2.7-inch LCD with TAP Control for great convenience, up to 1600 ISO sensitivity, face detection for up to 16 face and a choice for either an xd-Picture Card or MicroSD to store your magic moments. Available in a striking choice of colors, the latest Tough-6010 will be available from July for a retail price of 300 GBP (some $490 at today’s rate).
