Although Acer is not a big name in the smartphones business, their new WinMo Acer F1 and the new A1 Android mobile phones definitely have what it takes to sell like candies. Latest leaks coming from Taiwanese rumours site DigiTimes say that Acer is going to launch four new smartphones (A1, C1/E1, F1 and L1) in the fourth quarter of 2009, more exactly in September.
The most interesting of the four smartphones is the Acer F1 which is supposedly working on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800MHz CPU, packs ATI graphics, a 3.8-inch WVGA touchscreen, a 5 megapixel camera, Acer’s Suite 2.0 UI (which is similar to HTC’s TouchFlo 3D interface) and Windows Mobile 5.0 in the backend. And if rumours turn out to be true, another one to drool after is Acer A1, the company’s first an Android-powered handset.
It’s too bad that we don’t have any pricing details or more specs, but on the other hand … September is not that far away. Right?
