Omejo OJ-SCVR01 4GB Micro-Surveillance Camera/Razor

Tiny Spy Camera Not Fit For Maxwell Smart

I’m pretty sure that the people at Omejo Technology in Hong Kong are insane. I bet they would shove a hidden camera inside a living house pet if they thought it would sell. Come to think of it, I’m pretty sure they’d do it even if it had no chance of commercial success. One of their latest covert cameras has got to be one of the most bazaar uses of the technology I have ever seen. It might even rival the hidden camera in a camera.

The Omejo Spy Shaver Camera DVR appears at first glance to be just an ordinary electric razor. But wait, there’s more. Inside this manscaping device lays in wait a mini recording unit capable of taking in 7-8 hours of 640×480 quality video onto its internal 4GB storage device. OK, let me get some more of the specs out of the way:

  • AVI video compression with audio recording
  • Video file size: >500KB per min.
  • USB adaptor/charging cable
  • Lithium-ion battery
  • Record time: 2h per GB
  • 8-hour battery life
  • Weight: 150g

I’m not exactly sure where this thing will find use, but if the manufacturers website could be of assistance, “…you can get the most authentic evidence for a variety of illegal behavior. Ideal for CIA agents, police, detector, and spy agency.” I find broken English so charming. So the next time you are involved in some shady activities and the guy on the other end of the deal asks you to join him in the bathroom, you just might want to think twice. I won’t judge you if you actually want to pay $238 for this inane POS.
