Whilst the somewhat quirky Lego brick themed iPod snap on mini speaker – which will fit beautifully with the likes of the Lego themed Block Speaker iPod Dock – has been available for a while now we felt obliged (for no particular reason) to advise you that two new metallic versions are set to release later this month.

Available to pre-order now, the sold and silver metallic finished iPod Reto Mini Speakers (to give them their formal title), like their long since available standard versions (non-metallic), measure in at 3″ x 1″ and work by simply snapping into your iPod’s docking connector and whilst there’s no detail concerning the output or quality of sound you can expect its fairly safe to assumed that, given the nature of these mini speakers, you’ll need to be somewhat restrained in terms of you expectations.

Billed as working with ‘all 4th generation iPods as well as all iPod classic, all Nano, Mini and the 1st generation iPod Touch’ (note: not the 2^nd Gen Touch, iPhone or Shuffle) the gold and silver iPod Reto Mini Speakers are set to release from 7^th July. And, if you simply cannot envisage life without one, you can place advanced orders now for $24.50 a pop (the non-metallic versions come in at $19.75, incidentally).

Personally, I prefer the non-metallic versions and find these blinged out ones rather tacky – but you may feel differently.
