Edifier iF500 iPod/iPhone Dock Gains US/Canadian Release

Edifier have confirmed that their Edifier iF500 iPod/iPhone Dock, which has met with some acclaim in no small part due to its 5 deriver speaker driven sound quality, is now available in both the US and Canada.
The distinctive Edifier iF500 iPod/iPhone Dock, whilst is also known as the ‘Luna 5′, takes the form of an all-in-one iPod/iPhone speaker dock which, thanks to the aforementioned 5 driver speaker system (inclusive of a 5″ subwoofer) boasts ‘unique’ vibration and resonance control technologies paired with low frequency porting and mid-range tuned cavities which Edifier tout as producing ‘smoother cleaner audio’.

As well as accepting iPods and iPhones, the Edifier iF500 comes with line-in connectivity, allowing you to hook up other DAPs, PMPs and audio equipment such as CD players and music cell phones whilst, in terms of audio output, the iF500 will happily pump out up to 55W RMS which, in all honesty, is ample for most people’s requirements (and more than sufficient to bother the neighbours at full blast). Notably, however, for some curious reason, Edifier have opted not to include a headphone socket – which strikes us as either just plain odd or somewhat of an oversight on their part. And, whilst it’ll charge your iPod/iPhone whilst docked – as one would expect – there’s also no video connectivity, which is something we’ve increasingly seen iPhone/iPod docks cater for of late.
The Edifier iF500 iPod/iPhone Dock comes with bundled remote and is yours for around $300.
