We initially covered the Shuttle X50 AIO PC back in March and now, by way of a heads up for those still interested in the X50 but are looking for a little configuration leeway we can confirm that shuttle are to offer its X50 (specifically known as the PC X 5000TA) in a barebones, user configurable format.

According to shuttle’s press release, the barebones Shuttle X50, which comes with Intel Atom 330 dual-core processor under the hood as well as a 16:9 aspect ratio 15.6″ touchscreen boasting 1366 x 768, will be offered sans hard disk or RAM with purchasers having the option of kitting out their X50 with various HDD and SSD options as well as between 512MB and 2GB RAM.

“The market introduction of the X50 Barebone has enabled customers to adapt Shuttle’s All-in-One-PC even more flexibly to their own requirements,” says Tom Seiffert, Head of Marketing & PR at Shuttle Computer Handels GmbH. “For sophisticated technical users it can be built in only a few steps.”
