Lenovo have just released their new Lenovo ThinkPad T400s laptop which draws inspiration from both the ThinkPad T400 and the featherweight ThinkPad X300 resulting in a slim, lightweight yet capable laptop which Lenovo are touting as being ideal for business users looking for a ‘thin and light yet powerful, feature-packed PC’.

Powered by 2.3GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, the 14.1″ Lenovo ThinkPad T400s, which weighs in at around 20% less than the T400, comes with a range of options such as SSD based storage offering capacities between 128GB and 250GB, DVD or Blu-ray optical drive, 34mm Express Card slot or 5-in-1 multimedia card reader whilst offering Ethernet and Wi-Fi connectivity with WiMAX2, WWAN and Bluetooth available as additional bolt-on options. A dock connector and fingerprint reader is also up for grabs, the latter allowing you to login with a mere swipe of a finger, whilst the ThinkPad T400s’ also boasts a trackpad with multitouch functionality.
Lenovo’s press release also makes great mention of the VoIp friendly nature of their ThinkPad T400s with the device sporting an integrated 2 megapixel camera, dual digital microphones as well as offering increased audio volume over that offered by its forerunner, the T400.
As stated above, the Lenovo ThinkPad T400s is available as of now with pricing coming in at just shy of $1,600 and ramping up considerably as you tick off the wealth of optional extras being offered.
