Following on from yesterday’s posting concerning Acer’s new Gemstone Blue notebooks – specifically the 15.6″ Aspire AS5536 and 17.3? Aspire AS7735Z – Acer have also introduced another Aspire notebook PC in the form of the competitively priced Acer Aspire AS5739G which comes with integrated 8x Blu-ray optical drive and 5.1 channel Dolby Home Theater surround sound output.

Sporting a 15.6″ HD CineCrystal LED LCD display (a display we’re particular fans of, it must be said) offering 1366 x 768 resolution, the Acer Aspire AS5739G is aimed at those looking for a portable HD entertainment system that may not quite manage to run the latest gaming titles but will undoubtedly excel in terms of multimedia – a fact underpinned thanks to the Aspire AS5739G coming with 8x Blu-ray drive paired with 5.1 channel Dolby Home Theater surround sound output – or, if you’re not looking to hook the notebook up to an external audio system, the AS5739G’s inbuilt 2 channel speakers driven by Acer’s Tuba CineBass booster should see you adequately catered for.
