Samsung must be rubbing their hands together with glee having confirmed that they have already received 2 million advance orders for its Jet OLED touchscreen phone in just one week especially when you consider that Apple have apparently received around 1 million advance orders of its new iPhone 3G S since its official release during the weekend.

Admittedly, the figures are not directly comparable, however, as Samsung, unlike Apple (who have opted for a more gradual international rollout of its iPhone 3G S) offered up its Jet for advance orders in a total of 50 countries simultaneously. Still, few would argue that gaining 2 million pre-orders within a week is not a pretty impressive achievement especially when you also consider that the enormously popular LG Arena, for example, took a month to establish the same number of orders.
