Acer Intro New Energy Saving LCD Monitors [Acer V193WBbmd & V223WBbmd]

As display manufacturers become evermore aware that consumers are becoming increasingly ‘energy aware’ they are concentrating all the more on displays that offer reduced power consumption and, to that end, Acer have unveiled two new eco-friendly LCD monitors in the form of the 19″ V193WBbmd and the 22″ V223WBbmd.

Both of Acer’s new ‘green’ LCD displays are not, it must be said, especially exciting in terms of features or specifications, however, they do offer power consumption levels that, according to Acer, offer a 36% power saving when compared to previous models and therein lays these monitors greatest selling point.

In terms of features, the 19″ V193WBbmd and the 22″ V223WBbmd offer resolutions of 1,440 x 900 and 1,680 x 1,050 respectively whilst offering 10,000:1 contrast ratio, 300cd/m2 brightness and response times of 5ms.

Both of Acer’s new ‘green’ LCD displays are available as of now and will set you back around a pretty reasonable $185 and $236 for the 19″ V193WBbmd and 22″ V223WBbmd respectively.
