T-Mobile have officially launched their new 3G smartphone, the HTC designed, Windows Mobile 6.1 powered T-Mobile Dash 3G, which comes with full QWERTY keypad with trackball, integrated Wi-Fi (802.11b/g – no Draft-N alas) and inbuilt GPS.

The T-Mobile Dash 3G, which is based on the HTC Snap, sports a 320 x 240 resolution (QVGA) 2.4″ 65K color display, and, along with Wi-Fi additionally supports messaging and email complete with Microsoft Exchange server support allowing synchronisation of contacts and appointments whilst also packing a 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth wireless connectivity and what’s thought to be around 192MB of RAM (though this has yet to be confirmed by T-Mobile).

“As millions of families prepare to hit the road this summer, T-Mobile is offering our first 3G-enabled Windows Mobile smartphone to help customers stay connected, organized and traveling in the right direction,” said Travis Warren, director, product marketing, T-Mobile USA. “We’re excited to offer the power and style of the T-Mobile Dash 3G with high-speed Internet access thanks to T-Mobile’s rapidly expanding 3G network.”

The T-Mobile Dash 3G Smartphone is billed as due to ship from July but T-Mobile are, at this stage, keeping particularly tight-lipped concerning pricing.
