If, like me, you suffer from lack of sleep due to never getting anywhere near the amount of shut-eye you need (no matter how hard you try) this novel alarm clock aimed specifically at insomniacs and known as the Zeo Personal Sleep Coach may help you not only understand where underlying issues preventing a good nights sleep lay but also, with a little help from Zeo’s online web portal, help you to overcome them.

The Zeo Personal Sleep Coach works thanks to coming with a headband (the Zeo Headband) which utilises SoftWave sensor technology to analyse your sleep patterns (or lack of them) which are transmitted to the Zeo Personal Sleep Coach alarm clock wirelessly. As a result, when you wake in the morning, assuming you’ve slept at all, the Zeo Personal Sleep Coach will offer you information concerning your sleeping pattern in the form of a graph showing light sleep and REM sleep over the course of the night.
Interestingly, it doesn’t stop there either as, thanks to the Zeo Personal Sleep Coach storing data to an SD memory card, you can upload your sleeping patterns via a supplied USB adapter to your PC and, subsequently, Zeo’s myZeo Personal Coaching website which will display trends and offer helpful information as to how you could attain better sleeping habits.
The Zeo Personal Sleep Coach alarm clock, which has just been released, will set you back just shy of $400.
